8. Match Requirements - The home team shall provide for all home  matches:

(a) a suitable match ball and spare

(b) a suitable scoreboard attendant.

(c) a suitable timekeeper who shall be fully conversant with the rules of Masters Australian Football.

9. Match Times - All matches shall  commence at 1.30 pm unless otherwise mutually agreed.  All matches must be played on  the scheduled date.  Fixture changes may take place only after  negotiated agreement between the clubs involved.

10. Communication - It shall be the responsibility of the home team  to arrange contact with their opponent visitors at least seven  days prior to the scheduled game to ensure  the game is  conducted in the required manner. Any problems in this area are to be referred to the Executive Committee.

11. Quarter Breaks - Breaks will be observed between quarters in the following manner.

(a) Quarter time  - 3 to 5 minutes

(b) Half Time   - 15 to 20 minutes

(c) Three Quarter Time - 3 to 5 minutes

These times may be changed by agreement between both teams.

12.  The home team shall arrange for umpires' refreshments at all quarter breaks.

13.  It is normal practice for clubs hosting the fixture to provide refreshments for the visiting  players, officials and family members. Masters Australian Football is committed to family fun and this activity is a significant component of our football year.


PLAYING RULES

Rucking

Only one player from each team to contest all ruck knocks, involvement in contest by a third  player shall result in a free kick against third or subsequent player.  At all times the ball shall be thrown up and not bounced.

Boundary Umpires (optional).

If no boundary umpires are present, the ball shall be thrown up by the field umpire 10 metres in from the boundary line.

At boundary throw ins only one player from each team is to contest the ruck, however:-

if boundary throw in is poor or misdirected the umpire will immediately call play on

if throw in is satisfactory, any third or subsequent player involvement in the rucking contest will  result in a free kick against the third or subsequent player.

-  All players are expected to indicate the ball out of bounce by raising their hands.

Centre throw ups centre line not applicable, ruckman can approach from any direction

No raised knees at any ruck contest.

Marking

The player in front of the pack competing for a mark is to be given every protection and opportunity  to take the mark.  Any unnecessary or deliberate interference by an opponent player/s in attempting  to mark or prevent the player in front of the pack from taking the mark shall result in a free kick being awarded to the player in front of the pack.  The interference could take the form of a knee or boot being put into a player's body.
