CARNIVAL

We’d like to attract as many players and families as possible to come to Canberra for this year’s National Carnival.  Many will have already registered, but we’d like to provide those who are still thinking about it with information about what’s happening in Canberra over the week of the Carnival, particularly in some of the nation’s most famous tourist attractions, many of which offer free entrance.

If your state or territory has a players’ email group, please email me the contact and over the next few weeks we’ll send out a series of emails to them about what’s happening in Canberra and plans for the Carnival.

Here are a couple of initial examples:-

• the ABC have now confirmed that the Coodabeen Champions will be broadcasting their Saturday evening national show (7-10pm) live from Ainslie on October 16th
• for film buffs, the National Film and Sound Archive will be screening an Italian film festival at the ARC Cinema in the week of the Carnival.

In addition to our emails to players, we’ve set up a website at www.canberracarnival.com which we’ll update regularly with videos about what’s happening at the Carnival and in Canberra.
